Job description:

PURPOSE

To weigh and scan haul trucks using the weighbridge and load volume scanner

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that the weighing and scanning are conducted in a safe and productive manner
Spot trucks safely onto the weighbridge and guide them through the load volume scanner
Ensure that correct information is being captured from the weighbridge and scanner
To download all information captured for analysis
Conduct Pre Start check on the weighbridge and scanner before use.
Make sure that the light vehicle park in the designated parking spots or area.
Ensure that all equipment being used are kept clean, safe and well calibrated.
Any duties or tasks as requested by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Grade 12
Certificate in Computer studies, IT or any computer related program
Exposure to open pit mining operations
1 Year work experience in a similar field
Good understanding of surface mining operations
A good understanding of weighing and scanning operations of haul trucks
General safety awareness in working with surface mining haul trucks
