Marketing Coordinator

Lusaka

Full-Time Position

The ideal candidate will be innovative, organised, up to date on the latest online platforms and be social media savvy. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail orientated and ambitious.

Reporting structure:

The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Account Executive at the Marketing Head Office.

Key responsibilities:

The marketing coordinator will work closely with Head Office Marketing team to assist with the development and implementation of the marketing and advertising strategy and budget and be the liaison between Head Office Marketing team and the in-country service providers.

In addition, the role will require the following responsibilities:

  • Assist to copy write and contextualise marketing messages to suit the Zambian market
  • Contribute information and ideas to campaigns and strategies
  • Report back on delivery against marketing plan and advertising objectives
  • Ensure all marketing material is delivered on time to the in-country Media companies (for example – TV and radio ads, press ads)
  • Put systems and processes in place to ensure deadlines are met and that confirmations and proof of plays are submitted
  • Facilitation of store competitions and winner selections, and potentially notifying winners
  • Keeping abreast of trending topics and identifying opportunities for the brand
  • Identify Content opportunities for special days / seasonal occasions
  • Work on publicity angles for the store
  • Oversee marketing campaigns as well as keeping track of data and analysing the performance of marketing campaigns
  • Assist with market research to ensure future competitive growth
  • Weekly meetings with the Head Office Marketing team
  • Weekly / regular store visits to provide the Marketing Head office with visual content for photos, videos and live streaming from stores
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle essential

 

Working Hours

Weekdays (working days) Monday to Friday

Weekend Saturday (as an when required)

Times – 08h00 – 17h00

Skills Required

  • An understanding of social media & digital marketing channels
  • Good communication and presentational skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Project Management and good organisation skills
  • To multi-task & and have good planning skills
  • Creative thinker – come up with ideas and be innovative
  • Attention to detail
  • A keen understanding of brand awareness and reputation

Qualifications

  • Only applicants with Grade 12 School Certificate and Degree /diploma in either marketing / PR / Digital Marketing / Business Administration
  • 2 years’ work experience in a marketing position
  • Must be affiliated to the Zambian Institute of Marketing
