Senior Security Officer with our FMCG client Walk In Solutions

We have one good opportunity for Senior Security Officer for an Indian Multinational FMCG company.

This position would be based in Zambia.

Position : Senior Security Officer

Reporting to: Head Security

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Purpose

To supervise the hired guards, security work around the plant perimeter, Senior Managers residential area, warehouses, plots at Chilanga and Surya ,ensure that the security electric fence for the plant and residential area is in good working condition, monitoring of CCTV cameras, provide optimum protection of Global Industries property worth billions of kwacha, prevention of lives of employees, contractors, suppliers other vendors including their personal properties and enforcing of discipline proper turn out to the hired guards.

Key Responsibilities.

The incumbent is responsible for the following activities:

• the occurrence book and all security books at the main gate and other locations ensure that proper entries are done
• security returns and reports to the senior security officer/Head security
• incidents
• security briefing and recording of minutes, and making follow up on the issues discussed
• briefing from the supervisors of hired guards on duty/shift and receive reports on the security status of the plant as well status of the hired guards
• over the incidents which are pending to the incoming shift for closure if possible
• cases involving employees and contractors and brief the senior security officer/Head security.
• out daily activities as you may be assigned by senior security officer from the head security or any senior manager
• the hired guards of any changes which the company may wish to enforce, either verbal through a memo or circular.
• leadership always when on duty to the hired guards and ensure that the security in the shifts is not compromised..
• Any other duties assigned by production head.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION /PROFFESIONAL

Grade 12 school certificate

Police training above the rank of sgt./military background and training

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Good knowledge of police duties

Computer appreciation and able to write reports

Ability to detect crime, prevent and investigate

Ability to analyze and compile reports relating to the crime ,and able to give statistical data

Ability to drive

LEADERSHIP AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

Diplomacy required when dealing with sensitive issues

Good communication skills/public relations

Motivated labour force and able to liaise with other section heads on security matters

Sober character, honest, hardworking and dependable

Able to work with minimal supervision
