About the Role

As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will facilitate all important HR functions and programs. This includes issues raised by employees and matters related to employment, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, and employee relations.

You will report directly to the Deputy Country Manager

Responsibilities

  • You will provide administrative support for our Human Resources department including:
    • General HR Questions, inquiries
    • Attend to external partners (general inquiries)
  • Create requested reports using People data as requested by manager or other partners
  • Maintain accurate employee records (paper and digital)
  • You will be the point person for SuccessFactors integration and data
  • You will track employee benefits including loans, equipment.
  • You will ensure that all relevant workers compensation requirements are fulfilled
  • You will manage medical and insurance issues and ensure related information is updated
  • Contract administration, handling of grievances, proposed disciplinary action
  • Payroll processing including PAYE and NAPSA processing on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly payroll report and distribute pay slips.
  • Handle all payroll queries
  • Onboard and Off-board staff
  • Recruitment execution
  • Other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Undergraduate university degree.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
  • An active member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
  • Experience with MS Excel or Google sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
  • Experience working with a payroll or people management system e.g. Success Factors, sage 300, VIP, will be an added advantage
  • Project management skills and previous team management experience added advantage
  • English required – additional Zambian languages added advantage

Preferred Start Date

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, start dates can vary significantly by role. We are adapting rapidly to Covid-19 and most of our team is now working remotely. Given the changing environment, we will appreciate your flexibility in confirming a start date.
