Job Purpose
The Marketing Executive will manage and oversee campaigns geared at promoting products, services, and causes. Marketing executives will also be tasked to manage the brand portfolios in order to create brand visibility, brand awareness and market share growth in the various segments of the business. Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness and competition ventures


Summary of Key Responsibilities;

  • Create and manage brand marketing efforts for the brand portfolio
  • Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Organizing and overseeing advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV etc.), exhibitions and promotional events
  • Develop and optimise online marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition
  • Draft and distribute content such as newsletters and releases
  • Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website
  • Create and optimize targeted and custom landing pages and micro-sites;
  • Work closely with the Director to come up with effective CRS programs.
  • Delegating assignments to members of the graphics and advertising departments, as needed.
  • Supervising employees’ work, providing direction and clarification, as needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to clients’ specifications.
  • Coordinating efforts to ensure that campaigns are completed.
  • Adhering to time and financial restrictions.
  • Tracking changes in consumer engagement following the roll-out of each marketing campaign.
  • Manage special events such as sponsorship of races, parties, introducing new products, or other activities the company supports in order to gain public attention through the media without advertising directly
  • Compiling reports detailing the effects exerted by each campaign, and sharing these with clients
  • Leading third party agencies (Creative, Digital, Media planning, Experiential etc.)
  • Managing contracts with agencies and monitoring Service level agreements and relevant contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with regular review of the same
  • Establishing marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts
  • Expanding and developing marketing platforms including social media platforms
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on all marketing activity and results
  • Conducting market research and analysis for the brand portfolio while taking corrective action
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Teams to produce or coordinate the production of advertisements and promotions

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication Or Equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Marketing Management and Brand Management
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods
  • Good Public Speaking /Relations skills
  • Good organizational, time management and product management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
  • Working knowledge of databases and design software (e.g. Photoshop) will be an added advantage
  • Must be well-networked with leading Advertising / Media houses
  • Must be a member of ZIM or ZAPRA
