CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the positions of Lecturer in the School of Law on full-time basis in the following fields:
1) Company Law
2) International Trade Law
3) Administrative Law
Qualifications
To be considered for the above mentioned courses, one should have the following qualifications:
- Master of Laws with a bias in any of the above mentioned areas.
- Bachelor of Laws (with a minimum of credit).
- LLD in the relevant field is an added advantage.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
- Must be conversant with and easily adaptable to the Zambian Law.
- At least three (3) years experience of lecturing at the tertiary level.
- Three (3) years of industrial experience.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance course outlines and teaching materials for the assigned courses.
- Teach the students and assess their work.
- Supervise students’ research work.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly works.
Key Qualities and skills:
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and strong intellectual ability.
- Ability to research and create new knowledge.
- Should be ambitious, innovative, and a team player.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be articulate, relatable and have strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of planning and organizing skills.
- Good computer skills including knowledge of educational digital software and platforms.
