Varlostyle Logistics Limited is in the business of transporting a wide range of goods within Zambia and internationally. To expand its operations, the company is urgently looking for a dynamic, highly qualified and experienced individual for employment as a Logistics Officer.

Position 1: Logistics Officer x 1

Job Purpose:

The logistics officer will be responsible for the planning, oversight, management and coordination of logistics to ensure smooth accomplishment of day to day company operations and/ or projects.

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in logistics management.
Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
In-depth understanding of transport logistics.
Ability to work well with others
Attention to detail
Key responsibilities:

Fleet management (i.e., keeping costs reasonable, maximizing profitability, and minimizing risk).
Support the organization of driver logistics before, during and after return from assignments.
Ensure all cargo documentation, packaging, labeling and marking requirements, and all border clearance requirements have been met.
Initiate and supervise routine periodic maintenance of company vehicles.
Supervise insurance for vehicles, personnel and other company assets.
Coordinate warehousing and stock management.
Design and/ or revise company logistic guidelines to ensure continuous improvement.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications;

Minimum of a diploma in Transport and Logistics, Business Administration or related field from a reputable institution of higher learning.
Must have minimum 2 years’ experience in the transport and logistics industry.
Possession of a driver’s license is desirable but not a must.
Ability to communicate in English.
