REPSSI (Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative) is an award-winning and leading African psychosocial support organisation. REPSSI’s vision is that all girls, boys and youth enjoy psychosocial and mental wellbeing. The organisation offers technical support in mainstreaming psychosocial support into programmes and services for girls, boys and youth in East and Southern Africa. REPSSI’s interventions have reached over 2.4 million children and adolescents in East and Southern Africa with psychosocial support and mental health programmes and services.

REPSSI is implementing a three-year project dubbed Restoring Children and Young People’s Lost Aspiration, Integrity and Mental Well-being (ReCLAIM). The project implemented in eastern and southern province aims at providing mental health support to children and young people at an early stage so that they are aware of their mental health and can build resilience as they grow and develop. The organisation therefore invites applications from suitably qualified andexperienced persons for the following positions:

1. Logistics and Operations Officer

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Supporting project and administration staff with transport in carrying out project activities
  • Performs as a project vehicle driver of project staff, consultants, and visitors after approval of travel requests.
  • Ensure that vehicles are in road worthy and functioning at all times – meet service times, insurance, security, fuel supply, accident reports.
  • Follows REPSSI Accident Procedures and Reporting procedures, including reporting any violations of traffic laws or accidents.
  • Notifies the supervisor of any maintenance or vehicle problems
  • Facilitating in-and-out bound deliveries to ensure correctness of quantities and type of stock received and delivered
  • Support REPSSI’s emergence response actions involving staff and primary target groups
  • Maintain an updated directory of emergence service providers both in the country office location and other operational sites

Essential requirements:

  • O’ level secondary school plus at least Five years’ experience as a driver, with preference for experience with donor project.
  • Valid Driver’s License, PSV will be preferable.
  • Prior experience in Operations and Logistics work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and investigative abilities.
  • Capacity to perform your duties diligently, particularly during stressful periods.
