The key responsibilities and accountabilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and document HR information workflow to create efficiency in the operations of HRIS and lead in the review of HRIS processes and related procedures including recommending HRIS process improvements and solutions to align the systems to best practices;
  • Collect, analyze, input, and maintain accurate data on HRIS and manage access to HR data by establishing access criteria and procedure and ensure compliance;
  • Timely provision of periodic and ad hoc human resource reports to aid decision making;
  • Collate monthly activity reports from the different HR units according to agreed templates and timeframes, and ensure accuracy;
  • Ensure effective management (Indexing, updating, modifying staff records, monitor file and document movements) of all staff records/files in a controlled and efficient environment, and devise modalities of timely and efficient retrieval as and when required by users;
  • Responsible for Identifying and retrieving information and documents from HRIS for specific users;
  • Provides first line support to staff for Human Resource Information System (HRIS) processes including resetting of password, loading of personal information and other basic operations on the system;
  • Facilitates the delivery of benefits to staff including staff medical insurance, pension, and Group Life Insurance in close liaison with the respective partners;
  • Prepares appropriate contract of employment, ensuring legal and policy compliance;
  • Plan and facilitate periodic staff training sessions in the utilization of HRIS to both new and current users; and
  • Coordinate with MTN Group on all human resource information system matters to ensure timely and effective implementation of HRIS initiatives.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or any relevant Social Science.
  • Any qualification in Information Technology/Systems or Computer Science will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Human Resource Management Information Systems preferably Oracle.
  • Experience in any Human Resource role will be an added advantage.
  • Paid up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practicing license.
