Overview

Our client is an international earthmoving equipment and solutions provider and is looking for a Service Manager to grow the division revenue by 30% and increase the company’s technical capacity and capability on a regional level.

Qualifications needed:

  • Qualified mechanical/industrial/electrical engineer or technician with financial & management qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years experience in supply/manufacturing industry
  • Managed a rebuild center
  • Industrial engineering
    & systems exposure
  • Tech solutions in customer service
  • ERP systems e.g.: SAP, Pronto, ITOP
  • Registered with EIZ or equivalent body
  • Exposure to business planning/budgeting processes

Job Description:

  • Sell labour/technical skills to mining, energy, and construction customers
  • Planning customer service approach, troubleshooting assistance, minor & major repairs, planning rebuilds of products in the field workshop
  • Ensure profitability to the business
  • Effectively deploy resources to service customers
  • Efficiently delivery quality and professionalism
  • Manage large operations with multiple sub units
  • Ensure highest safety and quality standards
  • Oversee 4 sub units: 1) Workshop 2) Field Service 3) Technical Support 4) Costing Operations
  • Responsible for managing service operations: 1) Productivity 2) WIP (Work in Progress) Management, Quality, Departmental Overheads, Supplier Relationships
  • Execute development strategy for technicians and specialists

What is expected of you:

  • Implement PPM in service department
  • Apply ISO 9001:2015 standards in detail
  • Manage warranty provisions to reduce BEC costs
  • Apply OHS Act requirements and relevant legislature
  • Wear management analysis on abrasion products
  • Analyse fleet production and costs
  • Manage service internal audit reviews
  • Produce department business plan and budget with detailed indication of objective, projects, action plans, expenses, turnovers, cost of sales, and gross profits
  • Use KPIs to drive service excellence
  • Project Management
