Human Rights Commission

The Human Rights Commission is a National Human rights Institution established under Article 230 () of the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2016 with a broad mandate of ensuring that the Bill of Rights is upheld and protected.

The Human Rights Commission is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions.

JOB TITLE: DRIVER POSITIONS: FOUR (4) SALARY GRADE: HRC/B STATION:CHINSALI, SOLWEZI, MANSA AND MONGU

THREE (3) POSITIONS ON CONTRACT FROM OCTOBER 2022 TO DECEMBER 2022 ONE (1) POSITION (MONGU) ON PERMANENT AND PENSIONABLE TERMS

Reporting to: Investigations Officer

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Candidates must be Zambians between 25 years and 40 years;
  2. Must have a full Grade 12 Certificate and valid Drivers licence;
  3. Two (2) years previous experience in Driving;
  4. Ability to detect a mechanical problem
  5. Qualifications in Mechanics will be an added advantage

Duties

The successful candidate will report to the Investigations Officer and will be responsible for

i. Driving Officers on official duty to ensure they attend to their duties timely

ii. Perform routing vehicle maintenance, by checking tyre pressure, lights, brakes, hooter, fuel and lubricant levels to ensure that vehicles are in good condition and reporting when vehicle is overdue for service

iii. Cleans interiors and exteriors of motor vehicles so that they are kept clean all the time

iv. Maintain records of log books and maintenance and service schedule to allow management to make appropriate decisions

v. Promptly reports any accident to the police as required by law, and to provide a detailed report on the same to the supervisor for insurance claims and other purposes

vi. Performs any other related duties that the supervisor may reasonably request from time to time.

  4. Time Management skills
