Laboratory Analyst – Microbiology Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority

3. LABORATORY ANALYST – MICROBIOLOGY

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To undertake the carrying out of tests in microbiology in order to verify compliance to product specification

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake effectively, the carrying out of varied and specialized microbiological analysis on all medicines and allied substances, in order to verify compliance to product specification;
  • Carry out effectively, validation tests in order to facilitate research and development;
  • Undertake effectively, the compilation, collation and data entry in order to facilitate preparation of Laboratory analytical reports;
  • Ensures timely development of individual work plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) ‘O’Levels with credit or better, including Mathematics and English;
  • BSc Degree Microbiology/Equivalent;
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 and WHO Good Practices for Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory, and
  • Three years’ Laboratory work experience required
