Job Description

The Bursar will manage the Accounts department of Trinity University. He/She will need to absorb the ins and outs of our collection process and undertake various administrative tasks to ensure that everything is organized and documented. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented when on the job and have excellent people skills. He/She may need to manage employees, maintain relationships with third-party partners, and work with government or local compliance officers.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing business activity reports, financial statements, and forecasts. -Ensuring financial legal requirements are met.
  • Developing financial reporting systems.
  • Finding ways to reduce or maintain costs by studying financial reports and business processes.
  • Analyzing market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profits.
  • Aiding management in financial decisions.
  • Maintaining up-to-date financial systems knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Holder of ACCA or ZICA
  • 3+ years’ proven work experience in a similar position and management experience
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent ability to problem solving along with solid analytical skills, understanding of the business process, and systems optimization.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions.
  • Strong financial systems and business administration understanding.
