Job Purpose
To ensure the completeness of financialsreports, safeguarding of Company assets and filing of all statutory obligationson time.
Key Responsibilities
FinancialAccounting
Oversee andmanage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited toaccounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Ensure billingis timely, accurate and complete as per contractual requirements.
Management andreview of primary finance functions carried out by the finance team andpreparation of monthly journals and schedules.
Providesupervision of the accounting staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of theaccounting records and postings. This includes reviewing allocations of inputdata and results for completeness as well reconciliations of monthly generalledger, main balance sheet control accounts. and ensure completeness of thefixed assets register.
Reviewprocesses, procedures, policies, and systems and recommend improvements andefficiencies as appropriate
FinancialRecords
Ensure allaccounting documentation is properly maintained
Statutoryreporting
Ensure allregulatory and statutory reporting and filing are submitted to relevant authorityon a timely basis.
Supervision andmentorship
Ensuresubordinates are appropriately supervised to optimize the effectiveness of theunit.
Internal control
Ensure effectiveinternal control procedures and checks are in place to maintain the integrityof the accounting records and to minimize the risk of errors and omissions andmisappropriation of company assets.

Execute anyother duties as may be assigned from time to time
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Professional Qualification or Bachelor’sdegree in a relevant field.
Member of ZICA
6 years’ work experience in management orsimilar position.
Experience and hands on with variousaccounting software (such as Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks).
Competencies required for this Role
Strong financialand accounting background.
Ability to workunder pressure and strict deadlines.
Proficiency incomputer software, including Excel and Accounting packages.
Exceptionalverbal and written communications skills and ability to interact effectivelywith others, both internally and externally.
Excellent timemanagement skills, with ability to perform multiple tasks and meet criticaldeadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
