Evisceration Supervisor Agro Industry

URGENTLY NEEDED

Key Accountabilities

• Monitoring of processes in the production section (stunning, slaughter, defeathering, evisceration, spin chilling, giblet and petfood packing).
•  Ensuring that birds are stunned at the correct voltage, cut properly, allowed to bleed as per documented procedures and scalded in correct water temperatures
• Ensure that equipment/machinery is properly set (and kept in good working condition) for efficient slaughtering, adjust accordingly where necessary.
• Ensure implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) in the Killing and Evisceration sections.
• Ensure team members understand food safety objectives and contribute to achieving the same.
• Ensure that start up procedure and the shutdown procedures are carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Ensuring cleaning and sanitation (equipment and infrastructure) is done as per procedure.
• Ensure that specification sheets for customers are adhered to
•  Ensure that all products are properly labelled as per customer, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Understanding and training others (production department employees) in Food Safety Culture
• Compiling all daily Production reports (GRN, Processing Advice Notice, OGS) and circulating on time every day

Key Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Food Science / Manufacturing / Quality Research and Development or equivalent
• Grade 12 certificate
• At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Trouble shooting, problem Solving and analytical skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
