Right to Care Zambia has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID – Action HIV project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The USAID Action HIV project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBCHB)
- Master’s in Public Health Added advantage
- Training in HIV /OI management
- Training in Project management
- 5 – 10 years’ post qualification experience in clinical HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment, experience with antiretroviral therapy (ART) for Adults and Paediatrics.
- Knowledge of the Zambian HIV/ART, HTS, PrEP and other relevant guidelines
- Experience in HIV and AIDS programming in resource-poor settings at the field level and providing technical assistance to partner organizations.
- Familiarity with USG procedures

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Provide Paediatric and adult HIV technical support and mentorship to provincial, hub and supported sites
- Document Paediatric and adult HIV project successes and best practices from supported sites and support continuous quality improvement.
- Attend relevant Paediatric and adult HIV TWG meetings at national level.
- Support implementation of the project strategies to provide equitable, quality HIV services in populations such as children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, adolescent, and young people (AYP) and hard-to-reach populations
- Support the scale up of differentiated models of service delivery to decongest clinics, increase ART retention, and improve quality of care.
- Support the implementation of community-based ART distribution points and community health worker ART dispensation.
- Support strategies to monitor and manage the test and start of paediatrics and adults (including PBFW) who test positive for HIV.
- Support strategies to monitor and manage patients with unsuppressed viral loads and those with advanced HIV disease.
- Support strategies to monitor and manage patients needing co-treatment (TB, NCDs and Advanced HIV disease).
- Work closely with NAC/MOH, HIV TWGs, MOH and NAC TWGs.
- Work closely with Action HIV Provincial Managers, provincial teams, and the other Technical Coordinators and Advisors.
- Collaborate with other NGOs and stakeholders to facilitate continuity of care and improve on service delivery.
- Ensure USAID/GRZ internal controls are followed, SOPs are followed, and all departmental administration is coordinated and conducted in accordance with internal standards.
- Whenever necessary, assist with presenting the department’s products to both internal and external audiences.
