Finance and Compliance Manager for an upcoming USAID-funded program in Zambia East-West Management Institute

East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by international experts and nationals of Zambia for a number of positions as part of EWMI’s proposal for the upcoming five-year USAID/Zambia Leading Organizational Capacity and Localization Development (LOCAL) Activity. LOCAL will support the organizational capacity of the current USAID/Zambia local implementing partners to manage, implement, and monitor their programs. The assignments are expected to start around April 2023.

 

 

Finance and Compliance Manager

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing, increasing roles of responsibility, and extensive professional experience in finance, operation/administration, logistics and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities of similar scope and size with LOCAL;

Or

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing, increasing roles of responsibility, and extensive professional experience in finance, operation/administration, logistics and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities of similar scope and size with LOCAL;

And

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in in managing, increasing roles of responsibility, and extensive professional experience in finance, operation/administration, logistics and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities of similar scope and size with LOCAL;
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience;
  • Familiarity with US Government financial reporting and compliance requirements;
  • Experience in managing donor-funded grants of similar scope and size of LOCAL;
  • Experience in risk management and implementation of internal controls.
