The Programme “Promotion of Participation, Access to Justice and Transparency“ (Enabling Access to Justice, Civil Society Participation and Transparency) promotes dialogue and cooperation between Government institutions and civil society organisations on government reform processes, transparency and poverty reduction issues. The Programme aims at improving the Zambian population’s access to accountable institutions, to justice and to transparent government decision-making processes. The Communications and Research Expert will be placed at Transparency International – Zambia Chapter, a long-standing partner that has a strong emphasis on fostering transparency and accountability in the governance system of the country
Your tasks
- Supporting the conduct of corruption-related research that captures qualitative research methodology and analysis e.g. thematic analysis
- Supporting the development of an Advocacy and Communication Strategy
- Packaging success stories and most significant/impact stories
- Development of a user-friendly Digital Communication and Knowledge management system
- Mentoring and Coaching selected staff in various communication, documentation and advocacy systems and strategies
- Support to project implementation strategies
Your profile
- University degree in communications, public relations, journalism, international relations, marketing, design or relevant field is mandatory
- Many years of professional relevant work experience
- Good knowledge of social media platforms and experience in social media outreach, experience in the production of multimedia materials
- Good communication, presentation, networking and advocacy skills
- Knowledge of promoting digital literacy and respective training formats
- First experience in working abroad especially in Southern Africa and in intercultural contexts
- Intercultural sensitivity
- Fluency in English
