Quality Control Officer Namene Solar

The Quality Control Officer reports to the Country Director and is responsible for the coordination of activities required to meet the quality standards set and ensures that quality is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. The Quality Control Officer will monitor and advise on the performance of Quality the Quality Management System (QMS), gather data, and report on performance.
The role holder will do this by supporting the development and implementation of stand operating procedure initiatives and systems. They will require excellent communication, tactical and analytical skills. The role is varied and provides a rewarding opportunity to make a valuable contribution to Namene Solar, Zambia’s vision, purpose, and strategy. Role and responsibilities

·       Development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating procedures.

·       Monitoring the performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

·       Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data, compiling, and preparing reports for analysis and evaluation.

·       Supporting the Development of indicators that will help track stock, data and cash.

·       Coordinating management meetings and QMS management reviews to report QMS performance to the management team.

·       Collaborating with the management team to set quality objectives.

·       Planning and conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

·       Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

·       Setting up and maintaining controls of quality documents: policy, procedures, specification, work instructions and record forms.

·       Investigating customer complaints regarding quality issues and developing solutions.

·       Assisting in the development of needed records, standards and maintain accurate and detailed files.

·       Communicating quality control information to all departments.

·       Any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

·       A degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
·       A results-driven approach and a keen eye for detail

·       In-depth knowledge of relevant legal standards and quality control procedures

·       Outstanding organisational, prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure whilst retaining accuracy.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively and present fluently to a range of stakeholders.

·       Strong interpersonal skills

·       In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.

·       Knowledge of relevant performance tracking software.

·       Analytical skills

·       Fluent in English, Bemba and Nyanja

·       Proficient in MS Office
