PLANT FOOD SAFETY MANAGER – MPONGWE (1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Developing, reviewing, and updating the Food Safety Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Forms related to food safety in the plant where assigned.
- Implementing a Food Safety Management System, in line with Zambeef’s Food Safety & Quality Policy, and international best practices in the plant.
- Implementing and maintaining applicable international, national and local food safety & quality regulations and standards.
- Developing plans, executing and assisting proper growth-oriented programs for the enhancement of higher standards to ensure food safety and quality.
- Coordinating with supply chain partners to assist in product improvement and innovation.
- Ensuring products from the plant are safe and of good quality.
- Maintaining food safety documentation.
- To complete food supplier audits (against the FSMS systems implemented), identifying corrective actions required and escalation of major concerns and ensuring action thereof as required.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 Credits
- Degree in Food Science, Biological Science, Animal Science, Veterinary Science or a similar field.
- At least 3 years hands-on food safety experience
- HACCP Certification will be an added advantage.

- Detail-orientated with the technical aptitude and ability to perform tasks accurately and comprehensively.
