REPSSI Zambia is inviting suitably qualified graduates in Computer Science and Information technology to apply for a six-month internship. Prospective interns should have knowledge on databases, e-learning, web designing among others.
Role Description
The IT Intern will provide support to the Strengthening Social Services Workforce Project.
Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure the optimal utilization of the E-Learning platform and to oversee all matters related to delivery of academic programme through E-learning.
Key objective and specific outcome
- Fully functional and operational of the E-learning platform
- REPSSI academic programmes effectively delivered to students
- Academic staff adequately skilled and supported to delivery academic programmes using
E-learning - Student enrolments and examination registration with TEVETA timely and appropriate
done - Students and lecturers receive technical support through timely response to system faults
and IT-Assists. - Facilitate REPSSI Trainings to Partners and others.
Qualifications and Professional Attributes
- Degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or Computer Science.
- Experience in operating an E-learning and Learner Management Systems
- Knowledge in Web design and Database Management Systems as well as MySQ
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to absorb information quickly;
- Highly organized, reliable attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed;
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students and lecturers
- Ability to work under-pressure, meet deadlines, prioritise workload and multi-task;
- Mature work practices, highly motivated, demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to respond positively to mentoring and instructions
