WORK HOURS: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week

ABOUT US

Common Wellbeing is a local Zambian NGO dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of rural communities through community health, sustainable livelihoods, and education initiatives. We focus on sustainable, cost-effective, community-driven interventions based in empowerment and equity, primarily through training and education. Within the communities we work, we also support the local health system with medical equipment and supplies. We implement projects and share our learnings and insights to benefit others. We emphasize partnership, working closely with government, communities, and fellow NGOs to realize our mission of empowering communities to rise from poverty to wellbeing seeking an eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Monitoring The successful candidates will be expected to commence their duties by 1st November, 2023. DUTY STATION

Lusaka

JOB PURPOSE:

Oversee and guide the systematic collection, analysis, and use of data to assess program effectiveness, ensure accountability, inform decision-making, and facilitate continuous improvement in the organization’s interventions and strategies.

MAIN DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Coordinates effectively the development and implementation of monitoring tools in order to facilitate program monitoring.
  • Coordinates the integration of learning outcomes into program strategies, ensuring that insights and feedback drive continuous improvement and innovation in interventions and approaches.
  • Coordinates timely the aggregation and reporting of program data in order to facilitate decision making.
  • Coordinates and undertakes effectively monitoring and evaluation capacity building programs in order to enhance skills development.
  • Coordinates and undertakes effectively Monitoring and Evaluation of programs in order to facilitate the implementation of appropriate interventions
  • Coordinates timely the updating of programs information systems in order to facilitate storage and retrieval of information

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Statistics, Demography, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 4 years’ work experience with at least 2 years’ experience in managing health and sustainable livelihood related data, including data verification / quality assurance in donor funded projects; broad experience across various sectors preferred
  • Extensive experience working with NGOs
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Data management analysis, report writing, Data Presentation and data dissemination.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Improvement through Data Usage (QIDU)
  • At least 2-year data collection or entry experience in the NGO sector
  • Skilled in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and MS Access
  • Project Management knowledge will be an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Implement the project monitoring and Evaluation plan
  • Strengthen M&E Framework by ensuring that all Data capturers (project Implementors) have a clear understanding of indicators.
  • Ensure that data collected from grassroot field coordinators is accurate and consistent by providing technical support on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Promote the use of the designed data tools at community level
  • Ensure data is collected from all the implementing units before 6th of the following month.
  • Coordinate the documentation and sharing of learnings and insights for both internal program improvement and public knowledge dissemination.
  • Provide required technical support.
  • Conduct Internal Verification Check of Monthly Reports of partners/ programmer,
  • Obtain corrections upon identification of data quality issues, within 1 week of submission of queries, or within CW reporting deadlines for end-of-months.
  • Maintain aggregate stats database.
  • Display updated and analysed performance indicator graphs by 15th of the following month
  • File all data/reports needed to meet monitoring and audit requirements and store safely
  • Analyse, interpret, and use information for remedial interventions to optimize community.
