Human Resources Officer Legacy Manufacturer’s Limited

Job Purpose

This role supports the HR function at Legacy Manufacturers. The role reports into the Manager Human Resource. The role aims to be the anchor role for the Human Resource and Administration functions at the company.  Therefore, matters of employee welfare are addressed through this role including employee safety matters. The role interacts with other functions such as Finance and Accounting when it comes to payroll and compliance aspects such as NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE etc. The role holder will be responsible to ensure that employee pay slips are done on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the identification of new positions at the company as well as assist in the identification and recruitment process for new talent.

Developing Job descriptions as well as ensuring that new employees are inducted through the process.

Supervisors’ admin staff that are responsible for cleaning the offices thereby ensuring a conducive work environment for staff working on administration.

Responsible for the procurement of office suppliers such as toiletries and groceries for use in the administration buildings.

Responsible for developing contracts for employees and other venders such as suppliers or contractors.

Responsible for communications to employees from the Management through issuance of memos.

Responsible for taking down meeting notes during company meetings and circulating these to all company employees.

Responsible for registering all employees of the NAPSA Platform.

Responsible for registering all employees on the NHIMA platform.

Responsible for collecting employee KYC documents to ensure relevant employee data is collected and stored.

Responsible for handling the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of the employees.

Responsible for keeping reporting records for employees on a daily basis through managing books and excel files.

Education and Work Experience

Diploma in Human Resource Management or related Field.

Experience in Human Resource management in any organization.

Required Skills

Attention to detail.

Good typing speed.

Articulate in English in both written and spoken.

Solid understanding of human resource laws and labor relations.

Good administrations skills including record keeping.

Good negotiation skills.
