Driver ZCAS

Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) was enacted through an Act of Parliament (ZCAS Act No. 1 of 1989) for the purpose of training accountants, promoting research and advancement of learning in accountancy, finance, and related studies, providing advisory and consultancy services, and for related matters.

JOB PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for driving vehicles on official business in order to facilitate the mobility of officers, equipment and materials.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(i) Undertakes regularly and safely the transportation of officers, materials and equipment in order to facilitate smooth operations.

(ii) Undertakes timely delivery of mail and documents from superiors to other institutions in order to facilitate efficient communication.

(iii) Undertakes timely the completion of logbooks in order to enhance accountability for journeys.

(iv) Undertakes timely the inspection of the vehicles under their charge in order to ensure their road worthiness.

(v) Undertakes effectively the cleaning of the vehicles under their charge in order to ensure their suitability for use.

(vi) Undertakes timely the reporting of vehicles’ faults in order to facilitate their resolutions.

(vii) Undertakes timely the preparation of accidents reports in order to facilitate decision making.

(viii) Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

(i) Minimum of Grade 9 Certificate.

(ii) Drivers’ Licence Class C

(iii) At least two (2) years working experience.
