Obstetrician-Gynaecologist
Job Purpose
To diagnose and treat obstetric/gynaecological conditions as well as advise patients on birth control and fertility matters.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat various obstetric/gynaecological conditions and disorders.
- Conduct thorough obstetric/gynaecological examinations, assessments and procedures.
- Perform surgeries, including but not limited to, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and other gynaecological surgeries.
- Provide prenatal care, monitor pregnancies, and assist in childbirth.
- Educate patients on women’s health issues and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to the hospital’s academic activities.
Qualifications
- Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Valid HPCZ medical license in Zambia.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Obstetrics/Gynaecology.
- Proficiency in performing obstetrical/gynaecological surgeries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to academic and clinical excellence.
- Demonstrated research experience is a plus.
