The interested candidate will be responsible for
- Coordinating and supervising the production operations and production floor staff, including monitoring daily activities, production schedules, and resource allocation.
- Ensuring adherence to quality control measures and production standards, optimizing production efficiency while minimizing wastage.
- Developing and implementing production plans, ensuring timely delivery of finished products while managing inventory levels effectively.
- Evaluating production processes and identify areas for improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
- Training, mentoring, and motivating production staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Fostering a culture of safety and compliance with regulatory guidelines, overseeing the implementation of health and safety protocols within the production facility.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain to streamline operations and resolve any production-related issues.
- Monitoring and analyzing production data and KPIs, generating reports for senior management to drive informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualification and skills
- Grade 12 school certificate, Diploma in Logistics and Supply, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working in a production supervisory role within the alcohol manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to foster a cooperative and results-driven team environment.
- problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders and departments.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
