Temporal Human Resource Officer Unifi Zambia

Unifi is a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Zambia, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa. Unifi delivers personal lending products through online, mobile phone and branch channels. The company is well supported by strong shareholders and a board of directors with vast experience in entrepreneurship and lending.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties;
• Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives;
• Compiling and updating employee records (hard and soft copies);
• Processing documentation and preparing reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc);
• Coordinating HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and taking minutes;
• Dealing with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations;
• Assisting in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc);
• Communicating with public services when necessary;
• Properly handling complaints and grievance procedures;
• Coordinating communication with candidates and schedule interviews;
• Conducting initial orientation to newly hired employees;
• Assisting our recruiters to source candidates and update our database;
• Managing and maintaining employee contracts and records;
• Tracking staff on probation and ensure closure.

Qualifications

• Must have a full grade twelve (12) certificate;
• Must have a Minimum Diploma in Human Resource Management;
• Must be a paid up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZHRIM);
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Knowledgeable with google sheets
• Ability to Multi-task.
