LEVEL : Senior Manager

LOCATION : Lusaka, HQ

JOB PURPOSE

To achieve business goals and brand saliency by devising strategies for the Zambia Operation, in line with the overall brand strategy and subsequently plan and implement the same at country level.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

  • • Prioritizing and focusing on key high business impact activities.
  • • Planning and monitoring marketing costs.
  • • Developing relevant, clear & easy to understand communication that drives consumers to make Airtel their first choice.
  • • Identifying the key strengths of competition and planning key tactics to continuously improve Top-of-Mind Awareness (TOMA).
  • • Facilitating meetings with the Zonal Business Managers and developing a clear Visibility Matrix.
  • • Directing the team to ensure Retail & Outdoor marketing is executed at the ground level.
  • • Mobilizing regional teams and driving all activities to support national brand initiatives.
  • • Effectively directing and reviewing the vendors and agencies performance constantly seeking value addition through quality and cost.
  • • Devising and executing innovative programs to reach out to rural customers and augment business.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

  • • Minimum of a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication or related discipline.
  • • Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication or MBA in Marketing is desirable.
  • • Professional Qualifications in advertising, Marketing & Communication will be an added advantage.

Relevant Experience:

  • • 8-10 years of work experience in similar industry / organization; some work experience in advertising agency will be an added advantage.
  • • A minimum of 5 years in Management role.
  • • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
