Premium Administration Officer Sanlam Life Insurance Zambia Limited

Job Summary

Reporting to the Premium Administration Manager, the role responsible for premium allocation, reconciliation and relationship building with the collection partners.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure new Direct Debit (DDAC) Mandates are accurately maintained in the system and launched to the various banks within the required time
  • Communicate Direct Debit (DDAC) rejections to relevant stakeholders
  • Respond to all customer queries within the agreed timelines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders that support the premium collection and allocations processes and with the various banks
  • Highlight, track and follow up on any outstanding schedules with relevant stakeholders
  • Investigate and report on due policies that have not received premiums monthly to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring that all policies lodged are reconciled to premiums collected, daily reporting and reconciliation of all deposit and received schedules
  • Dispatch of agent’s commission statements
  • Maintain master payment files; Process premium payments with suspense reconciliation.
  • Coordinates with Sales and distribution for agent system changes
  • Identify and report errors on standard processes, participate in all requested system testing and process improvement enhancements for the Policy Administration System in use
  • Preparation of month end management reports, Recons
  • Carries out any other assignments as delegated by supervisor

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Computer studies, Actuarial Science or other relevant fields
  • Professional qualification in Project Management, Business Analysis, Management Information Systems, Data Processing, or relevant field
  • Insurance Qualification from AIIK / ACII or its equivalent from a recognized institution; and
  • Member of AIIK /ACII or a relevant professional body are added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
