Compliance Officer – Airtel Money Airtel Zambia

JOB PURPOSE

To participate in direct coordination with Compliance Manager, in developing and executing strategy and departmental governance and compliance for the OPCO.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifying compliance risk within OpCo and ensuring tracking of findings for closure.

• Executing snap checks on critical functions of Airtel Money business.

• Designing Gap analysis for all Compliance processes and controls.

• Assisting with annual review of existing Airtel Money Policies.

• Analysing and identifying possible money laundering activity reported by OpCo & Banks.

• Raising Suspicious Transactions reports in line with prescribed format by Financial Intelligence Centre.

• Liaising with Law Enforcement on cases requiring Police investigation.

• Responding to Opco’s Anti- Money Laundering & Compliance inquiries.

• Assist with Reviewing and addressing systems generated and manual Anti- Money laundering alerts.

• Assisting in managing, driving and supporting the initiative of Anti Money Laundering framework.

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and monitor trends.

• Strong reporting writing.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Access use.

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in either telecommunication, external audit, digital financial services or banking experience.

• Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering regulations and Central Bank regulations.

• Understanding of data analysis, auditing and reconciliation methods and procedures.

• Proven ability to take large amounts of multi-faceted data and create insightful and meaningful information to be used in business decision making.

• Ability to work with cross- functional teams across businesses and hierarchy levels.

• Demonstrated high integrity.
