Job Title: Reverse Osmosis Technician / Water Treatment Plant Technician
Location: Mpika District, Muchinga Province
Job Description
The Reverse Osmosis Technician will be responsible for the treatment of portable water to quality standards and quantities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum quality, potable water
- Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes
Daily / routine inspections, servicing and repair of components to include, but not be limited to:
- Pumps
- Water storage tanks
- Chemical Treatment Controls and equipment
- Circulation pumps
- Valves
- Motors
- Organize work orders for maintenance needs within the Plant
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment
- Develop preventative maintenance programs outlining steps to be taken.
Ensure all records are maintained, including:
- Daily logs
- Change control documents
- Weekly reports
- OEM manuals
- Inventories for RO Plant / Water Treatment
- Recommend the purchase of parts, equipment, chemicals and goods as needed to ensure continuous operation of the plant with minimal shutdown due to component failure
- Provide reports, information and updates to the Maintenance Team / Operations Manager as required
Key requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Water engineering or any related field
- At least two (2) years experience in the similar role or Plant.
- General knowledge of water treatment plant operations, policies, procedures and methods.
- Knowledge of basic math and chemistry.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in the English language.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Good mechanical skills.
