Intern Special Education Teacher
Minimum Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding and the ability to implement various effective teaching methods including literacy skills.
Ability to modify the curriculum to ensure that it is accessible to students with learning disabilities.
Thorough understanding of policies, laws, and guidelines related to special education
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Computer literate
Must be patient and passionate about learning disability inclusion
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Geography required
Grade 12 certificate
Appropriate Special Education and Teaching Council Practicing Certifications are required.
Minimum of one year of experience is highly preferred.
Must be able to assist students who have learning disabilities.
Ability or experience in handling SEN students with autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia will be an added advantage.
Boardin Patron
Grade 12 certificate
Certificate in care giving added advantage
Experience in taking care of learner’s or members of society with special needs.
Experience as a teacher aide is an added advantage.
Must be willing to obtain necessary training.
