QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Human Resources Manager must be duly and fully registered with the Human Resources Institute of Zambia.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years’ experience and having worked in Hospitality is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities are highly valued.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and personnel policies.
  • Handling staffing needs, conduct interviews, address employee concerns, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Going into camps as and when required or necessary, get to know all the staff and also enable you to best bridge the gap between the company and staff.
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies to support organizational goals.
  • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, administer performance evaluations, and facilitate professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives, foster a positive work culture, and address workplace issues.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, handling payroll-related tasks, and staying informed about employment laws are integral aspects of their role.
  • Conflict resolution, employee training initiatives, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • Creating a work environment that fosters productivity, employee satisfaction, and organizational success.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify workforce needs, plan for succession, and create strategies for talent retention.
  • Crisis management, handling situations such as layoffs or organizational restructuring.
  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives, such as wellness programs or team-building activities, to boost morale and foster a positive work environment.
  • Being instrumental in mediating workplace disputes and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Stay involved in legal compliance, keeping abreast of employment laws and regulations to mitigate risks for the organization.
  • Being involved in creating and revising job descriptions, salary structures, and benefit packages to attract and retain top talent.
  • Participate in negotiations with labor unions and address collective bargaining agreements.
  • Managing and resolving employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace incidents, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.
  • Promoting equal opportunities and addressing any potential biases in hiring, promotions, or other aspects of employment.
  • Expected to monitor safety and health compliances.
  • Reporting to Managing Director
