Who are we?

Based in Lusaka, Zambia, we have worked with local and global clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors since 2008. We design and implement projects and campaigns using a design process that creates impact.

We are seeking a conscientious, attentive and organised individual who will be able to accurately capture forum proceedings in the role of Discussion Forum Rapporteur. If you’re a skilled communicator who pays attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you!

What will you do?

Under the guidance of the Event Designer and Project Manager, the rapporteur will attend a discussion forum and accurately and effectively capture the event proceedings. The rapporteur will take notes via his or her preferred method (e.g. handwritten notes, typed notes), while also ensuring that audio and/or visual documentation occurs; and then produce a written report of the proceedings based on a template and format as agreed with Media 365. The written report will contain all pertinent information for each presentation or discussion, presented as a summary of the discussion, highlighting any conclusions, recommendations, and/or next steps.

The rapporteur will also be required to undertake some preparatory activities before the discussion event including but not limited to, familiarisation with speakers and their presentations and planning meetings.

Key deliverable

The key deliverable of this assignment is a summary report that cover the entirety of the event proceedings.

What do you need to demonstrate?


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in a similar position or carrying out similar functions.
  • Strong writing skills with experience leading the development, writing and drafting/editing of technical reports or proceedings
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Excellent computer software skills particularly in MS Word


  • Some familiarity with Aquaculture sector

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter and highly motivated; capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Skill in organising resources, establishing priorities and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
