We are the agency that works with young people so they can lead in solving those challenges. Whether that means supporting communities to end child marriage or prevent HIV, we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities. Our programmes are genuinely life-changing, but can’t do any of this without talented, creative individuals at every level of our organisation.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented individual to lead our work on people, performance and safeguarding at Restless Development Zambia. The People and Performance Manager will work closely with the Head of Hub to strengthen the systems, tools and procedures for overseeing people (human resources), organisational performance (quality assurance) and safeguarding at the Hub.

Working primarily through other staff and performance managers across the Hub, the work of the People and Performance Manager will ultimately impact significantly on the quality of experience of young leaders (volunteers) across Zambia working on Restless Development’s programmes, as well as staff. As an important member of the Hub’s Leadership Team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of the organisation through Restless Development Zambia’s People Plan and by excelling against global Key Performance Indicators, as well as by contributing to the overall leadership of the agency in Zambia.

To excel in this exciting role, the successful candidate will have proven experience in human resources, exceptional people skills, and some previous knowledge and experience of strengthening performance systems and safeguarding. They will be particularly passionate about youth-led development and seeing Restless Development’s values brought to life.
