Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified  and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Operations Division under the Change Management Department at Head Office:-



The job holder is responsible for testing execution and effective implementation of the test plans in accordance with approved processes and procedures.

Under the supervision of the Test Management Senior Specialist, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

  • Initiate and manage test activities within cross-departmental projects or programmes within large and/or complex projects.
  • Handle test issues covering multiple projects/functional areas.
  • Optimal allocation of test resources across multiple projects and functional areas.
  • Coordinating testing activities for all necessary test levels within one or more large and/or complex projects.
  • Initiating and leading product risk assessments in order to determine the test scope and strategy.
  • Describe on a logical level what should be tested, identify and arrange necessary test data, arrange and organize test environment.
  • Review requirements and design tests in line with the test strategy and, ensuring that tests sufficiently cover product risks.
  • Ensure that available information is challenged and assumptions are checked before being used for generating test ideas.
  • Ensure proper administration/execution of tests and assess results.
  • Record test execution results and ensure they are directly relatable to requirements.
  • Register differences between expected and actual results and/or communication findings.
  • Re-test solved findings correctly, clearly and completely.
  • Ensure stakeholders have accurate and timely monthly information related to the test management, providing information on test progress and test results.
  • Report and explain expected delays in testing activities and deviations from planning in a timely.
  • Deliver release advice with relevant information for go-live decision.
  • Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management.


  • External: Vendors.
  • Internal: All Divisions.


  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
  • Bachelors degree in ICT/Business/Project Management or related field.
  • At least three (3) years experience in testing.
  • Experience in Financial Services will be an added advantage
  • Certification in testing at Test Analysis level or attaining that within a year of joining.
  • Proven experience in either test management in a complex environment and/or large projects or extensive knowledge and experience in a specialized test role.
  • Knowledge of and experience in ICT (testing) and test management tools
  • Test Management Approach (TMAP) experience is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Project management methodologies i.e. Prince2 professional is required.
  • Experience in Banking is an added advantage.
  • Experience in coaching.
