Position title:  Driver

Department/Projects:  Climate Change Adaptation in Forest and Agricultural Mosaic Landscapes

Reports to:  Programme Manager, WWF Zambia

Supervises:  None

Location:  Sesheke, Petauke

Duration:  Two (2) years

1. MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

WWF Zambia seeks to recruit proficient, energetic and motivated individuals to be part of the team in the following role:

Driver – Climate Change Adaptation in Forest and Agricultural Mosaic Landscapes

The post holder will be working under the Project Manager – – Climate Change Adaptation in Forest and Agricultural Mosaic Landscapes

2. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertaking driving services as delegated by the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for general service and minor repairs of the vehicle(s).
  • Ensuring the vehicle(s) is kept clean and in working condition at all times.
  • Arranging for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the vehicle(s) in accordance with the maintenance standards for the vehicle(s).
  • Liaise with other WWF staff to ensure major repairs on the vehicle(s) are undertake promptly.
  • Co-ordinate with the project logistics, fleet management and maintenance.
  • Facilitating maintenance of log books and compiling of mileage for cost recovery purposes.

3. Required Qualifications:

  • Full grade 12 certificate
  • Certificate in mechanics
  • Clean driver’s license
