POSITION: OPERATIONS MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS
LOCATION: LUSAKA – ZAMBIA
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To achieve maximum utilization of resources to attain sales budget and stock loss budget at lowest cost to maximize profits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a team of Area Sales Managers to maximise the KPA outputs for the country.
- Increase the country’s profitability by reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency and execution
- Improve customer satisfaction levels through implementation of appropriate promotional interventions
- Improve operational image / branding by implementing of pre-defined company store standards and specified layout designs
- Achieve the desired sell-off rate on promotions
- Successful implementation and roll-out of seasonal sales plans and other promotional plans
- Interpret and communicate company strategy into the operational environment
- Manage the country’s operational people capacity by ensuring the availability of sufficient number of staff with the required skills
- Coach and develop the team of Area Sales Managers
- Collaborate with the Country Management team
- Ad hoc projects
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / Secondary school
- Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
- PC literacy – Advanced level of Office Software/G Suite
- 8 years’ experience in a retail environment, 2 years in a managerial role.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the country.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Zambian citizen
