Workshop Foreman Silverlands Agriculture Services Limited

Silverlands Zambia Limited is an agricultural business which operates in Central and Southern provinces with its head office situated in Lusaka. The Company wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position Workshop Foreman  to be based in Mkushi.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hands-on supervision of all workshop activities, especially technical issues.
Supervise the repair and maintenance of all of machinery, vehicle fleet, including tractors, trailers and other farm equipment in a cost-effective manner.
Ensure that the equipment and workshop are maintained in safe and reliable working conditions in accordance with company policy.
Ensure that planning, scheduling, and unscheduled repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Maintain acceptable working environment and sanitation within the workshop.
Perform calibration and setting of equipment in collaboration with field managers.
Effectively trains and develops the maintenance team to achieve and maintain a high standard
Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Grade 12 Certificate.
Craft Certificate in Mechanics including demonstrated supervisory ability
Knowledge and experience in John Deere Machines
