Job description:
PURPOSE
Responsible for effective management of fleet, high precision mining and other support services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing continuous improvement projects from planning and budgeting to implementation
- Data analytics using SQL and Power BI
- Optimization of high precision mining and drilling operations
- Leading Business Improvement initiatives
- Preparation and justification of capital expenditure to sustain or improve business performance
- Mentoring and coaching Mining engineer graduates
- Preparation of performance reports to management
- Screening and monitoring of contractors while minimizing costs and upholding quality of work and organizational ethics
- Ensuring that site safety and regulatory compliance standards are met
QUALIFICATIONS
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
- Member of EIZ
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence
EXPERIENCE
- 3 years post University graduation working as Mining Engineer in Open pit operations
- Data Analytics through Power BI
