Overview

One of your many clients is looking for an experienced Human resource administration officer that will help the company run smoothly by handle and maintain the company’s personnel records, manage documentation of the HR department, update internal database and more. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records, enter new data, and update previous employee data in internal HR databases.
  • Facilitate HR department processes
  • Prepare HR documents including new hire guides, employment contracts, compensation lists, and more.
  • Assist and help employees with any HR related queries and issues and help them resolve them internally, if possible.
  • Assist with employee hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Help with employee health plans, payroll, and benefits
  • Maintaining internal records, which may include preparing, issuing and filing company documentation (e.g. sick leave, maternity leave, etc.).
  • Ensure that the company is compliant with all the labor laws
  • Communicating with recruiters and other external parties.
  • Review, revise and update company policies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all personnel queries.
  • Setting up interviews and corresponding with prospective employees in a timely manner.
  • Manage and run the HRIS software of the organization, and make sure it’s updated.
  • Assist the HR manager in managing and administrating the HR budget.

The qualifications and requirements of the job include:

  • Degree / certificate in Human Resources, Management or similar.
  • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Human resource Management (ZIHRM).
  • Atleast 3 years proven work experience in an HR role.
  • Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of labor laws and practices.
  • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Must be approachable and helpful.
  • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Good ethical judgment.
