For this reason, we now seek to recruit a dynamic and energetic person who is performance-driven, suitably qualified, and experienced to fill the vacant position of Human Resource Operations Officer in Lusaka.

I.  JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring our company adheres to all labor legal standards and in-house ethical policies. This role will also be responsible for enforcing HR regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on ethical compliance matters.

II.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Administer and manage staff probation
  • Manage employee monthly one to one process & annual performance appraisals
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly payroll data
  • Implements annual leave, maintains and updates staff personal records
  • Manage benefits analysis and administration and should also have a good understanding of the country industrial relations and labor laws including applicable terms and conditions of service.
  • Staff Recruitment, Selection & On boarding
  • Compensation management
  • Supervision of assigned staff members
  • Execution of disciplinary process
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements
  • Tracking staff retention, organizational career-pathing, succession and promotions
  • Preparation of monthly HR reports
  • Work hand in hand with Finance to ensure regulatory returns are submitted and paid
  • Driving employee experience like timely issuance of accurate appointment letters, offerletters, relieving letters, timely closure of any queries with regards to leaves, Insurance,compensation, HR policies, etc.
  • Managing smooth Exit process in terms of completion of the full and final settlements for employee
  • Partner with Line Managers to ensure a high performance and high engagement culture within the business units
  • Be the contact and liaison person with the Ministry of Labour and Zambia Federation of Employers among other labor regulatory bodies.
  • Managing CCTV and employee biometric reports

III.  QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/Social Sciences/ Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in FMCG
  • Knowledge of SAP & Belina HRIS
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) programs.
  • Interest in IT Systems Administration will be an added Advantage
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Hands on and willing to attend to adhoc tasks outside the scope of HR.
