Regional Business Manager CV People Africa

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for merchants’ acquisition and retention, is also responsible for managing the acquisition and retention teams. The RBM will manage a specific region of the business (demarcated regions). Four years post qualification experience in a management position with sales experience in an FMCG environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital financial services.

Reporting To: Managing Director
Supervision Of: Sales team of appointed region, Regional Sales Coordinators
Interacts With: Management and Employees

JOB DESCRIPTION

Formulate merchant recruitment and retention strategies for specific regions
Manage merchant profitability
Grow EVD, Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, Merchant Payments and Online payments business lines
Assist in recruitment of junior sales teams for Regional Sales Coordinators
Inspire and drive merchants’ strategy through sales teams
Manage merchant support and training
Market analysis on products trends as well as merchant trends
Contribute to new product development as well as enhancement of existing products
Manage the region sales coordinators ensuring revenue and expenditure targets are met
Guide Exco on sales strategies for their regions and align sales to company goals

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Experience: 5 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Job related
Software: MS Office
Knowledge Of: Sales strategies, Airtime and Bill Payment, Cash Deposits and Cash Withdrawals, Merchant and Online Payments
Skills To: Strong leadership skill. Skills to achieve targets, manage expenses in the appointed region, lead a team
Ability To: Grow EVD, Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, Merchant Payments and Online payments, Manage merchant profitability lines
Other Requirements: FMCG experience is a must, clean criminal and employment record
