Steel Fixers, Carpenters and Bricklayers Private

Responsibilities

Steel fixers will be responsible for cutting and shaping steel bars, and welding, wiring or clipping structural steel materials into place. They will also fabricate other reinforcing structures such as beams, footing pads or other special units.

Bricklayers will be responsible for building walls, chimneys, fireplaces and other structures using brick, stone and other materials.

Carpenters will be responsible for construction with professionals who work with construction crews to build, adjust and repair wood frameworks in various construction projects. They will work with their hands, using tools to build and install frameworks that last a lifetime.

Requirements

  • The requirements for steel fixers will include basic work experience in construction of at least 3 years minimum.
  • Completed Work Safely at Heights
  • short course
  • certification in steel fixing.
  • A good understanding of health and safety at workplace.
  • The ability to read and follow technical plans and drawings is also required.
  • Steel fixers should also have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and have a head for heights.

The requirements for bricklayers include:

  • high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational school training, and on-the-job training.

The requirements for carpenters include a
