Credit Controller Innovate General Insuarance

Innovate General Insurance Limited, a general insurance company operating in Zambia since and has offices in Lusaka, Kitwe and Ndola. The Company is now seeking to identify a qualified individual to be engaged as Credit Controller. The Trainee will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer

Main duties will include the following;

  • Managing a team of credit control officers
  • Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client checks
  • Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
  • Setting up the terms of credit for new clients
  • Negotiating payment plans
  • Managing the collection of all payments and debts
  • Responding to client inquiries
  • Providing invoices
  • Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant
  • Managing the sales ledger
  • Liaising with customers and sales team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics (with a Distinction or Merit)
  • 3 years of relevant experience multi-client credit management skills
  • Previous work as a credit controller
  • Good understanding of legal complexities of payment plans and interest rates
  • Proficient in Accounting and office software
  • Ability to reconcile complex debtors’ accounts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to deal with problematic clients
