Innovate General Insurance Limited, a general insurance company operating in Zambia since and has offices in Lusaka, Kitwe and Ndola. The Company is now seeking to identify a qualified individual to be engaged as Credit Controller. The Trainee will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer
Main duties will include the following;
- Managing a team of credit control officers
- Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client checks
- Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
- Setting up the terms of credit for new clients
- Negotiating payment plans
- Managing the collection of all payments and debts
- Responding to client inquiries
- Providing invoices
- Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant
- Managing the sales ledger
- Liaising with customers and sales team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics (with a Distinction or Merit)
- 3 years of relevant experience multi-client credit management skills
- Previous work as a credit controller
- Good understanding of legal complexities of payment plans and interest rates
- Proficient in Accounting and office software
- Ability to reconcile complex debtors’ accounts
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deal with problematic clients
