Duties:
1. Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other food items
2. Accurately measuring and preparing food ingredients for the Executive Chef/Sous Chef or Che de Partie where applicable.
3. Cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, utensils etc.
4. Inventory management of kitchen stocks.
5. Discarding any expired or spoiled food items in accordance with food safety standards.
Required:
1. Grade 12 or a certificate in culinary arts or hospitality
2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Commis/Cook etc.
3. Good communication skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
