The School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Nurse Tutors & Clinical Instructors in the Nursing Department on both Full time and Part time basis.
Clinical Instructors/ Preceptors
Description
- Clinical Instructors shall be responsible for providing effective instruction and assessment during clinical practice training of undergraduate health sciences students in the classroom, lab, and hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on clinical instruction to students, emphasizing patient care, safety, and best practices.
- Create and implement effective lesson plans and clinical experiences.
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with faculty and healthcare professionals to develop and enhance the curriculum.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in healthcare.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience work in a medical institution (ward). -Member of GNCZ.
- Proficiency in computer application systems.
- Unquestionable professional integrity, stature and abilities.
