We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Tagger to review and categorize text data according to established guidelines. You will work closely with subject matter experts to understand classification schemes and annotate diverse text messages accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to comprehend taxonomy and annotation instructions for text data
- Carefully review texts and assign relevant tags/labels based on guidelines
- Annotate varied text messages (social media posts, chat logs, etc.) ensuring high accuracy
- Organize tagged data methodically within spreadsheets, adhering to data management best practices
- Provide commentary and insights on the content and themes observed during the tagging process
- Identify areas to improve tagging guidelines and taxonomy based on findings
- Track progress and maintain up-to-date status reports
- Identify efficiencies in annotation process and tools to increase throughput
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and ability to follow categorization rules closely
- Strong written communication skills
- Organized and methodical with tracking data
- Collaborative team player
- Experience with data annotation, tagging or classification
- Familiarity with text analytics and/or machine learning applications
