Job Title: Marketing Officer x 2

Location: Lusaka
Reports To: Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

As a Marketing Officer you will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our products or services. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, creating marketing materials, managing digital and traditional marketing campaigns, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing efforts. This position requires creativity, strong analytical skills, and a passion for driving brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager or Chief Marketing Officer to develop
    marketing plans and strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Assist in setting marketing goals, budgets, and timelines.

2. Content Creation and Management:

  • Create engaging and relevant marketing content, including blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, style, and messaging.
  • Manage and update the company’s website with fresh and informative content.

3. Digital Marketing:

  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of digital marketing efforts using analytics tools.
  • Optimize campaigns to improve conversion rates and ROI.

4. Traditional Marketing:

  • Develop and oversee traditional marketing initiatives, such as print advertising, direct mail, and event participation.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies or vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure consistency in branding across all marketing channels.

5. Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing ROI.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve marketing strategies.

6.Brand Management:

  • Help maintain and enhance brand image and identity.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all marketing materials.
  • Manage relationships with branding agencies and vendors.

7.Marketing Campaign Execution:

  • Coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns, including scheduling, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign implementation.
  • Assist in organizing promotional events or product launches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Preferably Member of ZIM)
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and analytics tools.
