Overview
Our client a privately owned SX plant Solwezi , NW Province of Zambia is looking for a Laboratory Manager. The processing facility consists of a crushing circuit, leaching pads, mixing house and SX plant. The Lab Manager will be required to;
- Manage the day to day laboratory work as well as oversee and assist the Lab team (3 x Assistants)
- Execute accurate samples from production (SX & EW) together with the Chief Metallurgist to ensure the plant runs at optimum at all times
- Sample raw materials being delivered
- Ensure highest level of quality control, both on sampling as well as end product
The ideal candidate must have
- Energy, eager and capable of learning new things and teaching others
- Take proactive approach, think ahead for yourself and your team
- Attention to detail
- At least 5-10 years experience preferably in a smaller mine
- Chemical or Metallurgical degree
- Resident of Zambia
